Overview
Forretress can OHKO any of your opponent's Pokemon and you don't even need to put Special Condition such as Poison to OHKO your opponent's Pokemon like Shedinja [Vivid Voltage]. All you have to do is attach 2 Metal Energy and 2 Colorless Energy to Forretress and you can strart using its attack, Double KO to OHKO your opponent's Pokemon.
But, after you use Double KO, your Forretress will also be knocked out. This attack is really good to counter against Pokemon VMAX since you will get 3 Prize Cards while your opponent will only get 1 Prize Card. Another great thing about this attack is that it is not affected by annoying Arceus & Dialga & Palkia GX Altered Creation GX because your Forretress knock out itself so your opponent will still take 1 Prize Card instead of 2 Prize Card.
Energy Setup
The most efficient way to accelerate Metal Energy in Standard Format is to discard Metal Energy first and then use Metal Saucer to attach Metal Energy to Forretress. Or you can use Dialga attack, Rewind Time to attach 2 Metal Energy from your discard pile to 1 of your Forretress.
In this deck, only 2 Metal Energy will be attached to each For restress and you can manually attach a single Twin Energy to Foresstress to provide 2 Colorless Energy. With this strategy, it won't be very difficult to attach 4 Energy to Forretress in order to use Double KO.
Lillie's Poke Doll
You need to put 1 Pokemon from your bench after your Forretress got knocked out from using Double KO. But, that new Pokemon will take place as an Active Pokemon and your opponent have an opportunity to damage or knocked it out during the next turn. So, the better option is to put Lillie's Poke Doll as your Active Pokemon since your opponent's won't get any Prize Card from knocking it out and you can prevent your other Pokemon from getting damaged.
